Three editions. One product.

Every edition runs the same code. The difference is who runs it, who supports it, and whether your participants see "unlicensed" stamped across the leaderboard.

Common questions

What's the difference between Community and Commercial Self-Hosted in practice?

Same code, same features. Commercial unlocks unlimited admins, removes the "Unlicensed" watermark from every surface (admin shell, projector leaderboard, PDF exports), and gives you email support. Think Proxmox.

What does the license actually unlock?

Removes watermarks and lifts the 1-admin cap. The license is an ED25519 JWT file you drop into the platform's License tab — verified offline, no phone-home. Future paid features (e.g. KASM integration) will check this same license.

Can I try before buying?

Yes — the Community edition is the same code. Run it as long as you like. The watermarks are the only thing that scales with pressure to upgrade.

How does the Hosted plan compare to running it ourselves?

Same features. We run the box, handle the backups, do the upgrades, and stand behind an uptime SLA. You log in and author. Best for orgs that want the product without owning the ops.
